The space under the pergola is the perfect outdoor lounging space. An extra long sofa is flanked by two sets of swivel chairs, allowing guests to turn and visit with friends at the table or at the counter height outdoor kitchen island seating area. The entire redwood beam ceiling is up-lit in dimmable LED lighting, giving the entire space a lift. The back wall was completely redone .... framing and installing a 72" linear gas fireplace and an 85" TV complete with Sonos sound bar. The new wall was skim coated for a more serene, updated feeling. New architectural lighting was also installed on posts and the back wall for an elevated feeling. Linear LED was applied to the toe kick of the kitchen and the underside of the counter top. Drip irrigation was installed before the concrete pour for attractive potted plants.

The fireplace was also in need of a major transformation. We built and plastered a mantlecap fireplace hood to tie into the coved ceilings, while preserving the original rock around the fireplace and adding a new marble hearth. A primary focal point in this 3200 sq ft booth, the fireplace area is flanked by new quartz introductions as elongated ovals (vs. the usual slab rectangles). Also featured are custom quartz coffee tables and a quartz "rug" inlaid in the wood floor. Curved custom green sofas add color and softness to the space.

The new lounge, formerly the fitness area, required a unique design solution to remedy the low existing ceiling heights. By finishing beams in a warm wood tone, adding bronze metal reveals then finishing the ceiling in a dark metal tone, the ceiling is a unique design element. The design is refined with luxurious finishes and fabrics, loungy banquettes, and dimensional centralized fireplace. The bar features custom shelving and wine display and the meeting area easily converts to accommodate many functions.
